About IDA
Integrated Disability Action (IDA) is the peak body championing the rights and voices of people with disabilities in the Northern Territory.
We provide and undertake the following services and activities to support people with disability:
- Information, advice and referral on rights-related matters
Short-term individual and group advocacy support - Systemic advocacy to address broader issues that negatively impact people with disability
- Representation of the sector of interests of people with disability, to government, industry and the non- government sector
- Co-ordination of the sector of interest constituted by people with disability
Research and development on disability rights issues of concern - Training, education, and support on disability rights for people with disability, service providers, government and the broader community
We have both Individual and Corporate memberships available.
Fees: Individual membership is free
Corporate membership (not for profit agencies) – $150 per annum Corporate membership (for profit agencies) – $250 per annum
Individual membership
Individual members are entitled to:
- Receive notices of and attend any general meetings of IDA
Exercise one vote at any Annual General Meeting - Be eligible for election or appointment as a director
- Nominate (or second or endorse) eligible candidates for election as a Management Committee member
Receive information about IDA’s activities
As an IDA Individual member:
- You will receive our newsletter and media releases as they are published.
- You can participate in membership events, member-only forums, activities and IDA Advisory Groups.
You support the human rights of people with disability. - You have a voice as a member on our social media forums, consultations and feedback.
- You will be kept up to date on policy and government programs which directly affect people with disability.
Corporate membership
As a Corporate member:
- You will receive our newsletter and media releases as they are published.
- You will receive information and invitations to participate in events such as Expos, networking opportunities, information, training and education sessions.
- You support the human rights of people with disability.
- You will be kept up to date on policy and government programs which directly affect people with disability.
Corporate members are Associate members and as such are eligible to attend the Annual General Meeting, but will accord no voting rights at the AGM or vote in the election of the committee or propose, second or nominate any eligible member for any office of the Association.
