Integrated disAbility Action Inc (IdA) was formed in 1996 as the Northern Territory (NT) Peak Organisation for Territorians with disability. IdA actively supports and represents the views of people with disability and those of their family members, carers and guardians (paid and unpaid). We focus on advocacy, education, and reform.

About the Opportunity
IdA is the Northern Territory’s Peak organisation for Territorians living with disability. IdA actively advocates for positive change on identified issues, which may be specific to an individual or group, and/or systemic in nature.
Our mission is to advocate and lobby with, or on behalf of, people living with disability to produce equitable outcomes with respect to disability issues and ensure adequate access, inclusion, and representation of people living with disability.
Based in Darwin, the Chief Executive Officer oversees the day-to-day Operation of the organisation, including a small, dedicated team of staff. The CEO represents IDA on the local and national stage.
Driven by the needs of our members and clients, the CEO should strive for the following:
- Lead and develop IDA, ensuring sustainable and impactful partnerships which support the voice of people with disability.
- Strong financial management skills including the ability to manage budgets, reconciliations, acquittals and reports including the ability to use MYOB and other financial software.
- Manage complex projects, fulfil contract obligations, and drive continuous improvement.
- Supervise and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Promote and grow IDA through strategic collaboration.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing the operations of a service -driven organisation including strategic planning, financial management, staff management, risk management, reporting and compliance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, strategic writing, and business management skills.
- Tertiary Qualifications or equivalent experience in Community Service, Leadership, Finance, Training or Social Services.
- The ability to navigate complex environments and maintain meaningful stakeholder relationships.
Prior to commencing the successful candidate must hold and provide evidence of the following:
- 100-points ID
- Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)
- National Criminal History Check (less than 3 months old)
- Current Northern Territory Driver’s License or the ability to obtain on arrival
- NDIS Worker Registration (or willingness to obtain on appointment)
- COVID-19 Vaccinations (primary plus 2 boosters) subject to medical exemption
