Description: “Whilst in residence at the Northern Territory Library I was inspired by aerial photographs, radar loops, and topographical maps. I applied the aesthetics of these images to ideas of the body as a landscape to explore this relationship. Territory 1-6 is a single work of six parts, with parts 1, 4 and 6 displayed here today. The purchasing, splitting up, and display of the works as removed parts of the whole mirrors extractive practices of mining and other exploitative capitalist land practices, juxtaposed with the commodification and commercialisation of the body, particularly the queer female body.”
