Premises Standards consultation extended to 30 April 2021

The Australian Government is reviewing The Disability (Access to Premises – Buildings) Standards 2010 (the Premises Standards).
The Premises Standards make sure people with disability can access buildings, and facilities and services within buildings, equally and with dignity.
The consultation period for the second review of the Premises Standards was originally open until 16 April 2021. However, the department is extending consultations to 30 April 2021 due to strong interest from stakeholders.
To stakeholders who have participated and provided a submission, the department would like to thank your participation, sharing information and raising awareness to improve equitable access to public buildings for people living with disability.
